The CFI Cylindrical Implant, Internal Hex is a bone level implant developed for controlled placement, high bone to implant contact, and restorative consistency in cases where a less aggressive thread profile is preferred. Its straight walled, slightly tapered body geometry is designed to support insertion control and provide a stable implant bed while preserving the osteotomy profile.

Unlike spiral implant designs intended for higher bone condensation, the CFI implant features a more moderate thread configuration that allows smooth advancement according to the recommended drilling protocol. This design may be particularly suitable for dense bone and for clinical situations where controlled insertion and reduced crestal stress are important. The implant body also includes coronal micro rings intended to increase surface area in the crestal region, improve load distribution, and support mechanical stability at the cortical level. The apical portion incorporates cutting flutes and a smooth tri dome configuration to assist implant entry while remaining gentle to surrounding anatomical structures. Together, these macro design features contribute to efficient placement, balanced load transfer, and predictable prosthetic support.

The implant is based on a 2.42 mm Internal Hex connection, providing compatibility across the standard prosthetic platform and supporting continuity throughout the restorative workflow. The platform switching concept is intended to support maintenance of marginal bone and soft tissue architecture around the restorative interface.

GDT implants are made of Titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V ELI, a material that combines properties such as low specific weight, high strength to weight ratio, very high corrosion resistance, and excellent general biocompatibility.

Ti-6Al-4V ELI is very similar to Ti-6Al-4V, except that Ti-6Al-4V ELI contains reduced levels of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon, and iron. ELI is short for “Extra Low Interstitials”, and these lower interstitials provide improved ductility and better fracture toughness for the material.

Ti-6Al-4V ELI has proven to be highly successful in the fabrication of dental implants

SLA Surface Treatment Technology:

SLA is a type of surface treatment that creates surface roughness intending to enhance osseointegration through greater bone-to-implant contact (BIC).

SLA surface treatment technology is based on a large-grit sandblasting technique that generates a macro-roughness on the titanium surface, This technique is followed by acid-etching that superposes a micro-roughness, This topography offers an excellent structure for cell attachment.

SLA surface treatment increases the rate at which osseointegration occurs by using a combination of grit and acid etching to give the surface increased roughness on multiple levels. This allows osteoblasts to proliferate and adhere to the implant surface. Through osseointegration, SLA helps provide increased stability to the implant which will ultimately lengthen its longevity.
