Internal Hex Connection Screws - Titanium Grade 5 Fixation Components

GDT Internal Hex Connection Screws are designed for implant and prosthetic procedures that require a matched fixation or protection component within the GDT system. This specialized collection of Screws Internal Hex Connection includes high-precision components for Slim Platform Internal Hex 2.0 and standard Internal Hex 2.42 abutments, cover screws for the healing phase, and prosthetic screws for GDT Multi Unit 1.4 and 1.6 abutment systems.

Cover screws are used to seal and protect the implant’s internal connection during healing. They help keep debris, bacteria, and other contaminants from entering the implant connection before the restorative phase. Abutment screws are used to secure compatible abutments to the implant and should be selected only for the designated platform and connection.

Multi-Unit Prosthetic Screws and MULink Digital Workflows

For multi-unit restorations, GDT offers separate prosthetic Screws Internal Hex Connection for the Multi Unit 1.4 and Multi Unit 1.6 systems. These screws are designed for compatible straight and angulated GDT multi-unit abutments used with Internal Hex and Conical Connection platforms. Each screw platform must be matched to its corresponding abutment system.

GDT MULink screws are intended for direct screw-retained restorations on matching Multi Unit 1.4 or Multi Unit 1.6 abutments. The screw head mechanically engages the restoration’s screw channel, allowing the restoration to connect directly to the multi-unit abutment without a bonded Ti-Base. MULink screws support digital restoration design through dedicated CAD libraries for exocad and 3Shape.

Technical Specifications & System Variants:

  • Material: Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V ELI) for maximum fatigue resistance and long-term torque retention.
  • Internal Hex Options: Components for Slim Platform Internal Hex 2.0 and standard Internal Hex 2.42 systems.
  • Abutment Screws: Used to secure compatible GDT abutments to the implant fixture.
  • Cover Screws: Used to cover and protect the implant’s internal connection during healing.
  • Multi-Unit Prosthetic Screws: Available for compatible GDT Multi Unit 1.4 and 1.6 abutment systems used with Internal Hex and Conical Connection platforms.
  • MULink Screws: Designed for direct screw-retained restorations on matching GDT Multi Unit 1.4 or 1.6 straight and angulated abutments, without a bonded Ti-Base.
  • Digital Workflow: MULink screws support dedicated CAD libraries for exocad and 3Shape protocols.
  • Driver Requirement: All the screws are installed utilizing a standard 1.25 hex driver.
  • Clinical Protocol: Confirm the implant connection, screw platform, compatible abutment, designated driver, and applicable instructions for use before placement.

By selecting the appropriate GDT screw as part of a matched implant or prosthetic system, clinicians can support the intended healing, abutment fixation, or screw-retained restorative workflow. Always verify component compatibility before use.
