Impression Coping Transfer For Multi Unit 1.6 Abutment - Closed Tray

The Impression Coping Transfer is used to capture the position and orientation of a Multi Unit 1.6 Abutment during closed-tray impression procedures. Unlike open-tray techniques, this coping remains seated on the abutment after removal of the tray. The laboratory then transfers the coping to the model before placing the analog, enabling accurate reproduction of the intraoral situation. This coping helps maintain abutment alignment and supports reliable prosthetic fabrication in cases where open-tray is not feasible.

This coping is made from POM (Polyoxymethylene), a durable, biocompatible material known for its strength, precision, and resistance to wear. It features a 1.25 mm hex interface for secure fit and easy handling, with an octagonal head that ensures stable positioning. Ideal for temporary restorations or lab use, it offers consistent performance in multi-unit and custom abutment workflows.

In closed-tray impressions, the coping stays on the abutment, allowing the tray to be removed without exposing the coping. This method is less invasive and can be faster in limited space or in patients with strong gag reflexes. After the impression is taken, the coping is unscrewed and reinserted into the impression before casting. This method is ideal for single units or when anatomical constraints prevent open-tray use, while still delivering accurate results.
